Excellent question! Right now, i am currently writing the Hayden Heyer series, so i am constantly living in that world. It consumes my every waking moment. However, it would be nice to live in a world of innocence and adventure as in Huckleberry Finn.

Like most people there are many. When i was 5 i was almost kidnapped but a crossing guard saved me. Then there was the time when a friend disappeared. She went into protective custody from her boyfriend until he was sent to prison. I looked for her for years without success. Then one day i met up with her and she told me what happened. Now, we keep in touch often.

Bella and Edward Cullen from Twilight were my favorite fictional couple. There was an unspeakable bond that resonates to true love. Jacob Black also showed signs of affection and love for Bella but in a friendship way.

When I wrote Branded, I was inspired by the Nancy Grace show when I saw a story about kids being kidnapped. I began to wonder why the neighbors, who saw it happen, didn't get involved. I wanted to send a message that not coming forward after witnessing a crime, is NOT the answer to stopping it. Everyone must work together.
When I wrote Hayden Heyer and the Twin Guardians, the message was different. I was talking to a teen who never went to church and knew nothing about Christianity. She was interested in it but afraid to get involved. (She was into vampires and monster movies.) I wanted to introduce her to God and Christianity in a way that she could understand it, which meant adding angels and demons into the mix. Creating a good vs. evil theme that all teens can relate too.

I am currently working on books 2 & 3 in the Hayden Heyer series.
Originally, I had book 2 ready for the design process, but my editor convinced me it should be divided into 2 separate books. After dividing them I realized I had to go back to the writing process to fill in the page count and have been working on that since.

Write it!
Even if it sounds stupid. Simply continue with the thought you're on until you reach 200 pages. DONT LOOK BACK! You may have a diamond in the rough, but you won't know it until you see the outcome of the story in its entirety. After you come up with that great ending, then go back and review, edit, rewrite, and expand the areas that need work.
The hard part is writing without distractions.

Being Creative! I can be whoever I want, and do whatever I want.
I could be a house wife on a pineapple farm fall in love with a tribal musician. Or, make a mouse an astronaut, land on a yellow planet that is decaying. The possibilities are endless. Nothing has to make sense, it simply needs to be believable.

For me, writers block is a sign that I am out of creative juice and need to take a break. Go to a party, a carnival, or a concert. Meet new people. Talk with someone who is close to your characters age (let them do all the talking.) Most of all have fun! Then come back to the writing in a month. You will be refreshed and have an arsenal of new ideas.
