I am currently working on another book that is a combination of my first novel as a new edition and it contains non-fiction stories about my adventures as a political activist. It's a combined fiction, non-fiction book that contains a novella and stories about autism as a force for good in the world.

I took up creative writing as a way of expressing myself when I was struggling to communicate to people. It was my way of understanding people and getting to know how characterisation and plots work.

I came up with the idea for A Baffling Unoriginal while at a creative writing course. I had this idea of writing a novel about a frustrated autistic writer who was fed up with society's perception of his abilities and usefulness. I wanted to break the stereotype of disability in the media where they are often portrayed as pitied, pathetic, hopeless, vulnerable and defeated. I needed to show them with my own autism how to embrace disabilities in a positive way with constructive thinking and a creative imagination.
