Probably about a third, I guess. Certainly all the zombie titles do. That's largely a function of input from the Sales and Marketing Department at Kensington. Every time I turn in a manuscript, a zombie one, anyway, the guys in Sales get together with my editor and we bounce titles off each other. The Sales guys like to see Dead in the title somewhere because they want people to know right away that it's a zombie book.

For me, the thrill has always been in storytelling. I was doing this gig for free long before people started buying my books, and I'll be doing it long after people stop paying for my books. The stories just have to come out. That's what I do, and why I love being a writer.

My current work in progress is called St Rage (as in Saint Rage). This one is a mummy story set in modern day South Texas and takes its inspiration from the many Aztec mummies discovered along the Texas/Mexico border. It'll be out soon from Journalstone.
