Kate Karyus Quinn Great question! While none of the characters crossover, there are easter eggs within DYFAM and DWTS that suggest a shared universe.

Hi there. I was wondering if you had considered a prequel to Another Little Piece. I think there is plenty to go on! I would love to read the story of the Physician and the Brujahs. Who they are, why they are, what are their ultimate goals? A companion novel would be amazing!
Kate Karyus Quinn I have not considered a prequel to ANOTHER LITTLE PIECE, although I do think that a story about the Brujahs and the Physician could be very cool. Hmm... right now I have a few other writing projects that I'm working on, but I'll definitely keep the idea of expanding their story in my back pocket!

Kate Karyus Quinn Hey thanks for the question! So I sort of left the fate of Stace's little sister up to the reader's imagination. It's very possible she was stepped on or Cheeto'd... or maybe she has her own story about how she was able to survive within the house of horrors. That, however, is a story I have not yet written. ;)

Not a question, I just want to say I finished reading your book, "(Don't You) Forget About Me" and I loved it!! I enjoyed the mystery of it, the characters and the ending was great too. I liked how the heroine seems so real, with great character qualities (her love for her sister, her bravery near the end, etc.) as well as flaws. I'm really looking forward to reading more works from you! ?

I'm currently reading an ARC of Down With the Shine and did I just catch a reference to Another Little Piece (On the Less Bright Side)?
Kate Karyus Quinn There definitely is a reference to both ANOTHER LITTLE PIECE and (DON'T YOU) FORGET ABOUT ME in DOWN WITH THE SHINE. It's not "on the less bright side" though. :)

As for working on something new... You would laugh if you could see the Word documents littering my desktop filled with many many many bits of something new. But those are all very far from being published just yet. ;)

I do, however, have a finished project that will be making it's way into the world relatively soon. It's called DOWN WITH THE SHINE and will be published with HarperTeen in early 2015. And around June/July of this year you can look for the cover reveal, which from what I've seen of the early cover art is going to be really amazing!
