Deneen A. Connor Just write! Don't worry but the other stuff such as finding an editor, how do I get published, etc. Just write the story and the rest will follow.
Deneen A. Connor When writer's block strike I usually step away from for a little while. Sometimes it's hours or days. I look at as the characters wanting to take a break.
Deneen A. Connor They just pop in my head. I'm thinking about something and then I'll say, "Hey that will make a great book." Recently, I was having a discussion with some co-workers and I said something and immediately thought, that would make a great book. Sometimes there are situation I either tweet about or put on Facebook and again think, this would make a great book.
Deneen A. Connor Usually a story lines pops in my head. If I can do a quick visualization of the story from start to end in my head then I know I want to write it. Next it's to actually sit down and write the novel. I usually create an atmosphere (candles, music, sitting on my terrace, etc) to get me in the mood to write.
Deneen A. Connor My latest novel, After The Wedding is a sequel. In my book Excuses, I wrote four short stories. Although everyone loved each story, the favorite was Wedding Day. People wanted more. They wanted to know ... what happened after the wedding.
Deneen A. Connor Being able to take what is in my head and put it on paper. I enjoy watching the words come to life when they are read by people who love to read.
Deneen A. Connor I am currently working two novels. "After The Wedding" is a sequel to the short story Wedding Day in my second novel, Excuses. I'm also working on "Tell Him.. To" which is the sequel to my first novel Tell Him.
