I do not believe in writer's block--I do however believe the mind and heart need rest and if I feel uninspired to write, I seek nourishment elsewhere--reading, tending to my assemblage art, revising, cleaning, getting out in the open air... juggling passions helps me not feel crushed, vacant; it reminds me I am more than what I've created on the page.
