I'm currently working on a comedic novel called Goblins! I seem to have spent my whole life associated with the nasty little swines in one way or another so now seemed a good time to have a serious go at detailing their lives.
The story is about a goblin village that comes under threat of attack by a group of ugly two headed giants (OK giants aren't pretty at any time, but two heads makes them worse). The true leader of the village - the astonishingly well informed Wise Wench - formulates a cunning plan to bring peace to the forest - at least that's what she's telling their leader King Stormgrunties, who in truth is far more interested in setting fire to things and petrifying his subjects to be too worried about the village being destroyed.
As she knows absolutely everything - what is and what will be - the locals have utmost faith in her, but sadly for once even she may be wrong as the naughty goblin gods intend to bring doom, damp and boring to the Great Forest once and for all.
It's a gentle little tale of mindless violence, cowardice and fell poultry.
