R.K. Livingston Genealogy is a hobby of mine. My father's family came to this country from France back in 1640. I've always been curious as to what drove them and am currently working on the ideas for a novel about those early beginnings.

R.K. Livingston The idea for my most recent book, A Flame in Goshen, was birthed out of a conversation about slavery and freedom as it pertains to us today, especially in the area of expectations. I know that sounds a bit vague but I don't want to give away any spoilers.
R.K. Livingston If it happens when I am in the midst of a project, a good brainstorming session with friends often inspires me with fresh ideas. Otherwise, there are times I just need to give myself permission to take a break and focus on something else for a while.
