My book is a holiday tale, Shorte List. The kernel of the idea for the story came to me when I started wondering 'why do kids give up their belief in Santa Claus?' And what about the adults out there who 'know' he still exists?
Thus the Shorte List, an ancient book Santee carries around with him of those 'kno'ers' who know Santa's real. In the book, an inventor trying to revive his small factory town creates an AI/hologram of Charles Dickens. In the book, it goes up against the real Dickens, who we find out had a lot to do with composing Santa's magical Shorte List that enchants the small town they are trying to save.
