We have not had the pleasure of dachshund championship, but have a number of friends who have. They were a great source of helpful information when writing The Girl with the Dachshund Tattoo. Dachshunds seem to be delightful dogs!

In the case of this book, unlike the first four books in the series, the title came first. We'd proposed doing more books in the series and our publisher was interested. We offered some ideas on titles that were in keeping with the lighthearted, play-on-words, previous and titles and they like them. (The other was: The Girl with the Dachshund Tattoo) Then we started our research and we have to tell you greyhounds and the stories behind greyhound rescue had us at "woof."
