#1. READ. I've met so many would-be writers who say they don't like to read, which is just a a nice way of saying, "I'm not interested in listening. I only like to hear myself talk."
#2. Don't listen to anyone who tries to make you feel like less of a writer if you don't write every single day. If you want to finish something, then obviously you need to spend time on it, but it's not a race, and if you treat it like one, you run the risk of a heart explosion twenty feet from the finish line.
