Music always inspires me. Particularly power ballads and songs that are filled with angst, longing and other strong emotions. When I wrote Crossfire, which was way back in the nineties, I was listening to a lot of Elton John and Richard Marx. I like to think that some of that emotion, particularly Right Here Waiting from Richard Marx, spilled over into my writing.

I've always hated routine, so I really enjoy the flexibility of being a full time writer. Even on days when I write for eight hours straight, I'm still enjoying myself. Also I get to kill my enemies in my books. Lol.

I normally relax and don't try to force it. I find that listening to music really helps. Somehow listening to something that someone else has created gets my creative juices flowing again.
