Andrew Mackay There's so many books I want to read from authors I've met. It's hard to know where to start! I also want to revisit Kafka (particularly The Trial) as I will be writing a legal thriller later in the year.
Andrew Mackay To me, much of my life isn't a mystery. In fact, it's remarkably boring; I know what I want, like and have - and want to achieve in the future. I suppose the journey I've been on, and the new one I'm taking, could be a good plot for a book!
Andrew Mackay Ooooh good one. I think my favourite fictional couple has to be Lenny and George from of Mice and Men. (I hope you didn't mean romance! lol)

The sheer drama between the two of them is brilliant. George has a duty to care for Lenny - even though he despises him. It anchors the story so well, and sets up that heartbreaking finale!
Andrew Mackay I never get writer's block. If anything, I get writer's "unblock" - too many ideas, too little time. The real challenge is ordering what gets written next!
Andrew Mackay Being in control. Knowing that once you've written the last word, that's the end of the journey. Telling stories you want to tell. Working your own hours. Going to work in your underwear (if you so desire). The opportunities are endless. And I LOVE, LOVE engaging and conversing with my readers.
Andrew Mackay Write. And don't stop. It's the only way you'll get better. I've put advice on my blog at Chrome Valley Books. Check my blog feed for more tips! :)
Andrew Mackay I'm currently writing In Their Shoes - The Artist (Book 4). About halfway through at time of writing. Whilst still very satirical and funny, this one is more of a thriller. Joy Attwood is following a gang of graffiti artists - and they're preparing a big event! Very exciting and I'm having a blast writing it.
Andrew Mackay When I have a good story and interesting characters. Sometimes they come first, and sometimes the story dictates those elements. If I don't care about the characters, they usually vanish into thin air and I move on to my next project.
Andrew Mackay My most recent book is In Their Shoes - The Model. I got the idea from a lot of the news stories I've been seeing about body shaming, self-harm and the desire to achieve perfection. Ripe for satire and definitely an interesting topic.
