How do you deal with writer’s block?

Barbara M. Zavaleta i don't. i try not to 'think' about it? one of the many rewards of being an indie author is there is no pressure to write or publish. i once tried to write a book on a deadline and failed miserably. it was then i did suffer writer's block and decided to never put myself through that again.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Barbara M. Zavaleta the most recently published...hmmm...my inspiration comes to me in bits here and there. i am infamous for carrying my cell phone and journals to write down what comes to me. however, for the most part, the bits and pieces revolve around how i feel during that time whether i have suffered a loss of any kind or a roadblock in life. it is usually triggered by an overwhelming event that takes my mind hostage.

How do you get inspired to write?

Barbara M. Zavaleta i was a kid in love with books replacing friends i did not make. my parents pushed me to be articulate and became very intrigued with words. eventually, my overactive imagination and lack of voice for putting my feelings together in a literal manner, had me writing.

i loved/love writing. i fantasized about being a published author, but never had the courage or self-confidence to pursue until now. thank zeus for independent publishing!
