Louisa Reid Dear Erica - thank you for your lovely, lovely message! I'm so happy you loved Black Heart Blue and that you wrote to tell me.
It isn't inspired by any one true story - although I fear that there are too many Hephzi and Reb's in the world who have more to bear than we dare to imagine. I tried to tell a story that was important.
I would love to send you some swag - it's time I got something like that organised! Let me know where to send to and thanks again for your message! xx
Louisa Reid Hi Emma - thank you for your question - I'm thrilled you loved LLL :-)

As to whether I'd write a sequel, I'd be tempted...I love those characters so much, I might have to give it a whirl! But I'm not giving away anything about the future! Although Aud and Leo definitely deserve a happily ever after, don't they? xx
Louisa Reid Hi Crystal and thank you for your question. At the moment I don't know when my next book will be published OR what it will be about! I am working on two new YA books and a book for adults - but watch this space to find out when/if thy will come out.
Best wishes
Louisa
Louisa Reid I think writer's block is often just a state that happens when you need to get away from your manuscript for a while and think it over. If I give something I'm working on a lot of space, then usually the answer to the problematic area or "block" will come.
Louisa Reid Persevere - in all ways.
Keep writing even if you've been rejected.
Redraft your work and redraft it again.
Listen to your instincts and don't be afraid to change something about a draft. It might mean extra work, but it'll be worth it if it's something you really feel needs changing.
Try not to let distractions (usually of the internet variety) pull you away from the writing.
Be brave and bold. Believe in yourself and your ideas.
