Thanks, yes, I have run it through my faithful beta-readers. They've all given me various insightful comments and suggestions. But none of it touches what I think is missing... maybe it's just me?

Meradeth Houston It could totally be just you. Sometimes being so close to something--as the author--that you see things that aren't there. Maybe put the manuscript away for a bit and allow yourself to come at it with fresh eyes later?

hey Meradeth, thanks for adding me as a friend! So, I'm working on my fourth book right now... the manuscript is done, and barring a few 'plot-holes', I still feel like something isn't right about the story... any advice? thanks! - Ryan

Meradeth Houston Hi Ryan! I know what you mean about something "missing" but it's hard to say what it could be. Have you tried running it through beta-readers? That often what I do to try and get things like that worked out :)
