✨ A drink with Nesta. And helping Azriel find love.
If I could slip into any fictional universe, even for a few stolen hours, I’d choose the world of Sarah J. Maas without hesitation. Not for the battles, not for the magic, not even for the Illyrian wings (though let’s be honest, I’d drool). No, I’d go for something far more important:
Imagine it: Velaris glowing beneath the stars, the House of Wind humming with quiet power, and me wobbling slightly because Illyrian stairs were not built for mortals. Nesta would be there first, arms crossed, expression unimpressed, but secretly grateful someone showed up ready to match her energy. We’d drink something strong enough to make Cassian raise a brow, and I’d let Nesta rant, swear, and slice the air with those razor-sharp opinions of hers. And I would love every second.
Then there’s Azriel. The shadowsinger. The emotionally elusive king of brooding. I’d drag him away from whatever corner he’s pretending not to lurk in and inform him (gently… maybe) that it is time, past time, for him to find the happiness he keeps giving to everyone else. Whether he listens? That’s up to him, and the shadows whispering over his shoulders.
But for one night, I’d happily step into a SJM world. Not to save kingdoms. Not to fight demons. Just to sit with a woman who clawed her way back from her own darkness… and to nudge a certain shadowsinger toward a love story worthy of him.
