Often by reading. There are so many articles and so many songs, even by wise and godly Christians, that are tainted with unbiblical tradition. It drives me to write and to point out what the Bible really says about things we just glibly repeat with no biblical support.

Every author is looking for reviewers. I have not been pleased with money I have spent on editors. I have always managed to pull off a mini-team of very smart people who have helped me edit my books, so I don't need that. I take it you charge for a review?

Nope. My reviews are always honest, and always free. I just like to help. All I need is a physical copy of the book, and I'd be happy to review it for you. Email me at hillsideherbs(at)juno(dot)com and I will give you my mailing address.

I rarely have writer's block, but when I do I read an article that disagrees with something I teach. That gets me right up on my soap box quickly!

Two sources. First, because I write about early church history, Roman Catholics expect me to become Catholic. They think the early church fathers overwhelmingly support Roman Catholic doctrines. All my books at least touch on why I do not believe they support Roman Catholicism.
Second, I ran across a web page that claimed to have 31 questions Protestants could not answer. I wanted to answer those. Is it turns out, to answer them all, I would have had to write a 2,500-page book rather than 250 pages. I chose to limit my book to questions regarding the pope's authority over other Christians.
