Wow. I guess I haven't been on GR in a looooonnnngggg time, Penumbra. Sorry so late responding! I have a chunk of words down on Andy's book, but haven't been writing lately. I'm just never in the right frame of mind these days, but I'll pick it back up and see if I can ride that horse to the finish line. I do love Andy, but this book contains some tricky subjects (anorexia, transgender), and I sort of abandoned it for fear of screwing up and possibly not having a readership for it. Of course, the political climate being what it is, we need more stories with trans characters, IMO...so, yeah, I'll give it another go. Thanks for the kick in the pants! :-)
Here's the blurb I dug out of storage:
Swedish supermodel Anders Berglund is famous for his androgynous look. But both his career and health are threatened by a growing need to match his outward appearance with the person he is on the inside:
A woman.
Blacklisted bodyguard Victor Geddie doesn’t want to babysit a pampered model with more issues than Playboy magazine. He never dreams the person he’s charged with protecting could be his own worst enemy. And he sure as hell never intends to fall for a client again.
Vic is hired to protect a man, so he needn't worry about business mixing with pleasure, emotions tangling with the cold clinical job, or the danger of repeating past mistakes. He shouldn’t be concerned that his employer is somehow the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen, inside and out, no matter what gender is scrawled on Andy’s birth certificate.
This ought to be the easiest assignment Vic has ever worked. So, why is it the toughest?
When barriers are broken, prejudices are proven wrong, and the bare bones of human sexuality blur, will Vic and Andy put aside everything they think they know about love and life to embrace the magic between them?
