I can't speak to mystery. We have had some traumatic events happen that I've included in my books. for example, our granddaughter was badly scalded a number of years ago, hence Peridotte's suffering the same injury in Infidelity. We lost our home to fire in 1998 as did Paulina and her sister in Birthright.

Conquest, Defiance, Redemption, Vengeance, Birthright, Star-Crossed, Allegiance, Crescendo, Infidelity, Jeopardy, Forbidden, Finale. Then you could start on the following generation with Becket, and Roland. Hope this helps.

Good question! As far as I recall, she went with Robert to Montbryce Castle. When Alex learns of the tale later in life, he begins to understand why there are so many cats in Montbryce.

My home burned to the ground in 1998. I was asleep upstairs when the fire broke out.

My goal this summer is to re-read some of the hundreds of books I've had on my kindle for years. I have them categorized; very good, good, fair, etc. So far I've reclassified a few. Either my tastes have changed or I've become a more discerning reader!

I've thought on this quite a bit. I don't have a favorite couple. Memorable ones, certainly, like Rochester and Jane. I'm also fond of Hugo, Lord Duran and Jessica from Lynn Kerstan's The Golden Leopard.

Hi Dawn, There are actually four books to this series, but unfortunately Book 2.5 (Highland Dawn) is a Kindle Worlds book that is only available through amazon dot com's Kindle World's program. I did include it in a boxed set of the Chronicles but was politely asked by Amazon to remove it. Copyright issues. Apparently Amazon owns the copyright to that book even though I wrote it.

Hi Scarlett. Yes. I once wrote two contemporary romances under a different pen name, but I found juggling two distinct careers very difficult. I suppose when I stepped into the Viking era I abandoned the strictly medieval, but of course the purpose was to tie in with my medieval families.

Keep writing. Don't expect to please everyone. You know in your heart if what you write is good.

I am lucky enough to live on the coast and I find the ocean has the power to unlock writer's block. Often if I'm faced with a "block" I go for a walk along the beach and come back with fresh ideas. It's a question of letting your mind wander and allowing thoughts to come.

I am lucky enough to live on the coast and I find walking along the seashore very inspirational. The sights and sounds seem to unlock ideas.

I decided that instead of moving forward chronologically with my central family, the Montbryces, I would look back to the Viking roots of the Normans. The first book of the series, The Rover Bold, is the story of a Viking who came with Hrolf Ganger from Norway in search of a new life in Francia. Hrolf became Rollo, first Duke of the Normans, and a direct ancestor of William the Conqueror.

I am currently working on three manuscripts. One is a novella for an anthology scheduled for publication in October. The LOVE HISTORICALS authors decided to choose a secondary character from a previous story as the hero. I chose Ingram Maknab, half brother of Nolana from Sweet Taste of Love, and his story is entitled Maknab's Revenge.
The other two, currently novellas, may get combined into one novel featuring the Viking ancestors of the central family in my books, the Montbryces. The working title is The Rover Bold.
