What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Mark Pettit Find a subject you're passionate about and just start writing. One word turns into a hundred, then five thousand and the next thing you know you've written a book. It starts with a single word.

Mark Pettit Promoting my new book, "A Need to Kill" and working to turn it into an eight part limited TV series.

How do you get inspired to write?
Mark Pettit I take my dog Kody for a walk, take a break, grab a glass of wine. And then, it just happens and the words pour out of me. It's a spiritual experience.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Mark Pettit I've returned to write the final chapter in the sordid saga of Nebraska serial killer John Joubert.
