I really enjoyed The Last Dekrepitzer but it ended abruptly! I can't wait to read what happens next. I hope you're working on a new book? Maybe focused on the son?

Howard Langer Thanks. Everyone complains about the abrupt ending, but that is how it is for Shmuel Meir. I just got home from a presentation to an African American seniors group and they also liked the book but didn't like the ending. I could not tie things up neatly. My editor sent me back to give some finality to Schiff and Alice...but Shmuel Meir, as I think Faulkner said, endures. I am working on a new book, but it is not a sequel. How did you come to read my book?
