Elizabeth Lyons A question so good I wrote an entire blog post on it! ;)

Elizabeth Lyons Believe. As Elizabeth Ann West says, "No one is going to come along and anoint you." You have to believe in your message and your story. You have to have faith in your unique ability to tell or share it. Fear is completely normal. A lack of confidence is also completely normal (even for established, best-selling authors; remember, they have a previous book to live up to!).

The world NEEDS your story and your message. Just keep going - one word at a time.
Elizabeth Lyons I'm currently working on the 3rd edition of Ready or Not...Here We Come! The REAL Experts' Guide to the First Year with Twins, an entirely new book tentatively titled Enough, which addresses the mild insanity that is the life of the women who are creative entrepreneurs, and my first novel.

I also teach aspiring authors how to write and publish books that make money AND positively impact others' lives over on PublishAProfitableBook.com.

Finally, I'm working on training the dog. But that's been going on for a long time, and there's really no end in sight.
Elizabeth Lyons I mostly write about the events of my life, and my life isn't particularly unique. So when something happens and I think both, "I don't want to forget this" and "I bet someone else has been here, too!" it automatically inspires me to write about it! Writing has always been my own personal form of therapy to a large degree.
Elizabeth Lyons My most recent book, You Cannot Be Serious, was inspired by my brilliant friend, Heather. We were driving to Starbucks one day, and all 5 of my kids were in the backseat. It was all manner of chaos. Heather calmly asked me, "How are you not losing your sh*t right about now?" to which I answered, "The rules."

She said, "Well, your next book needs to be about 'The Rules.' If they work for you, they'll work for other moms!"

At the time, I thought the idea was crazy, but the opportunity to write about all the craziness that goes on and how I handle it (which isn't particularly graceful some days) sounded surprisingly fun!

As a began to combine blog posts, new ideas flowed and the rest, as they say...
