I think it is the ability to change the way people think and then motivating them to take action. There is no better feeling than getting feedback from one of your readers letting you know that not only they applied what they had learned but how it actually made their life better!

I have to take a few days off from writing. I find if I force myself to write it becomes a chore instead of a passion. You don't have to take a few days off like I do but there is nothing wrong with taking a little time off between writing to get your creative juices flowing again.
