I never force writing. My schedule is always packed with critical and urgent tasks, so writing feels like a luxury. When I finally get the time to sit down, the words pour out effortlessly. My challenge isn’t finding inspiration—it’s choosing which words to focus on.

When the lights dimmed and the day's noise faded, I found myself alone, surrounded only by shadows lurking behind me. A deep loneliness settled in, replaced by terror as the shadows moved closer, reaching out to feed on my fear.

The idea came to me during a conversation with my parents about my roots. My ancestors' heritage was lost due to family feuds, wars, poverty, and illness. That made me think about ancient times and how the same fate befell the Dacians, whose culture was destroyed by usurpers. I took it a step further and imagined my own version of Dacia, blending it with elements from Romanian folklore -- balauri, zmei, strigoi. It was initially supposed to be a video game, but I just couldn't stop writing, and it became a book.

For me, writing comes from emotions and memories. Every story I create is rooted in feelings I’ve experienced—whether joy, pain, love, or loss. Memories, both vivid and subtle, shape the way I write, giving depth to my characters and authenticity to my narratives. Sometimes, a single moment, a conversation, or even a scent can trigger an entire scene. Writing is my way of processing emotions, preserving experiences, and making sense of the world around me.

I have multiple projects in progress, but I’ve put them on hold until I see how Among the Gods performs. It’s the first book in a series, and if readers enjoy it and want more, I’ll likely continue with the sequel.

Live, write, read, repeat.
I didn’t know I needed to write until I had lived a little; I didn’t read enough until I had written a lot. Every word I write creates a need to read, and for every book I read, I feel compelled to live. With each passing day, my head fills with emotions and memories that drip onto the page.
