Susan Konig Again, my four kids who span eleven years from oldest to youngest, made me realize I was simultaneously dealing with teenager issues and pre-school stuff. Vampires, dating, cell phones, biting in the classroom (not vampires but toddlers), sippy cups and driving lessons -- it was all too good not to write about. Teenagers & Toddlers Are Trying to Kill Me Is based on a true story... of my life!
Susan Konig My family often inspires me just by being who they are. I often write about the kids and all our misadventures, the kind of stuff that happens in all families and is usually pretty funny.

But sometimes inspiration is just magical. It hits you and you say, yes, that's what I'll write about!
Susan Konig I am promoting my Motherhood Trilogy -- Why Animals Sleep So Close to the Road and other lies I tell my children, I Wear the Maternity Pants in This Family, and Teenagers & Toddlers Are Trying to Kill Me!

I am publishing one or two other books by new authors this year and am writing a comic novel!
Susan Konig Just write. That makes you a writer. If no one ever reads it or it never gets published, you are still a writer because you wrote it down. But DO share it and if you can't get it published, do it yourself if that is your goal.
Susan Konig You can write anytime. In the middle of the night. For five minutes waiting in the car. It is always there waiting for you.
Susan Konig Two options: Take a break, go for a brisk walk, do the laundry, change it up. Then come back.

Or, keep writing. Just keep the pen moving or keep typing anything until you get back in the groove.
