A.J. Martinez It depends which one of my books you are talking about...
Scarlet Quest is Auron Fox. A bloody red head from the Amaranth tribe who workship fire. He is assertive, sometimes arrogant and determine. The type of person who always gets what he wants.
In Fall of a Demigod, the protagonist is Caim. He is a demigod, a romantic, always shows mercy. He is witty and intelligent. He can be extremely dangerous if you get on his bad side.
The Ungifted Elf, protagonist is Eckxio. An elf. He is strong willed, faithful, intuitive, cocky and smart mouth and always searches for the light.
I hope that is enough. This is only a brief description of the character but to really get to know them (like you would a person) you have to read the books and really get into their heads.

A.J. Martinez The Ungifted Elf is my most recent book(short story). There is definitely a lot of "me" in the main character and things that made me change who I was. The Ungifted Elf holds something dear, it was inspired by the very thing that changed my life.
A.J. Martinez Anime, movies, books from other authors, Final fantasy and going to conventions and going to places such as NYC that is filled with art. Not only do I write but I also like to draw. Also since I write fantasy I like to go to places where my genre is loved such as renaissance fairs.
A.J. Martinez My first fantasy series. It is really exciting.
A.J. Martinez I recommend to start with short stories. They are quick reads and you can get feedback faster than if you tell people to read your 300 page novel. You want to write a lot to improve your craft. I also recommend for you to start with a genre. Write a lot of books in one genre before you move on to another one
A.J. Martinez World building. Its like I am creating my own movie and then seeing your book in paperback it gives you a real sense of accomplishment.
A.J. Martinez I use to have writers block but here is the thing. I am going to let you in on a little secret. Because I am creating the world of Odealeous I have many stories to tell. I want all my stories to be in this fantasy world. I have so many stories in my head already once I thought about the idea of Odealeous that writers block just stopped. If you have writers block is probably because you need to find more inspiration. That is my advice. You need to find something that moves your soul and that very thing will shower you unique ideas for stories
