Tony Cooper Currently working on the third book in the 'Powerless' series. No title yet (that I can reveal at any rate ;). I'm currently in the planning stages for each set of characters, working out how they all interact as the story progresses and I'm about to start the actual writing.
Tony Cooper The best thing is finishing a book is the subsequent feeling of having had a hoarders' spring clean inside my head. All those ideas are now laid down and out of my mind. I don't have to try and remember them all and how they fit together any more.
It's a great feeling, until I realise all I've done is make space for another lot of ideas to gather like randomly stacked newspapers, waiting for me to sort them out :(
Tony Cooper Luckily I've never had what is typically described as being "writer's block", i.e. an inability to to think of what to write.
I've certainly found it difficult to decide how to proceed with a passage or conversation, or had the grind of the last few chapters that I didn't have the instant urge to work on at the start of the project (I write out of order FYI).
When I get this, I take a day or two off writing and do other things to take my mind off it. When I return to my laptop I find I can think more clearly and either have a solution, or realise that the problem was never that big in the first place.
