One of my favorite things about Smiling Ghosts is the villain. She's not your typical bad guy and is strangely sympathetic” Bridgette Ehly

Bridgette Ehly Telling stories that mean something.
Bridgette Ehly If you just want to make money, research what people are buying and move in that direction. Copycats seem to do really well. If you want your writing to be true self-expression, be honest about the story in your heart and mind. Write what you enjoy and have a marvelous time, but keep in mind that it may not catch on right away. Most agents aren't looking for original, they're looking for tried and true.
Bridgette Ehly Those of you who have read Going Live know that it is suspenseful and a bit surreal. My next novel is going to be highly suspenseful science fiction, but it will have a humanist feel to it. A young woman finds herself at odds with her husband whom she loves deeply. If what he says is true, the whole human race is in grave danger.
Bridgette Ehly I am always inspired to write, it's simply a matter of setting aside several hours to make real progress. I must admit, watching news stories gets my imagine going since I know from first hand experience that there is always a story behind the story.
Bridgette Ehly I was a television news reporter for 15 years, so this novel was simmering in my mind for some time before I actually started writing it. Once I got going, the characters took on a life of their own. I just watched the show on that big movie screen in my mind, and then put it down on paper.
