I'll admit it wasn't very good. But perhaps I have long had a weakness for reading kitschy books.
Even though I didn't have a good answer, I still have to say this is the best question I've ever gotten.

It's tough to narrow things down to one favorite, but TOUGHNESS IS WHERE IT'S AT, so I'll say A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole.

This is a great 21st-birthday gift! I mean, it's a weird gift, but a great one.
I took an Old English class in grad school, and the prof sold us samizdat photocopies. It's thin, so if you really want a copy, albeit a used one, send me a self-addressed manila envelope and I'll mail you my old copy. If you can't send a message through Goodreads, you can reach me on the gmail under the username immortallycanthropes.

Wow, that's so cool, Ruby! If you have a scan or photo of it, please send it to immortallycanthropes@gmail.com . Let me know if it's OK for me to share your art with the public!

If someone drove a dump truck full of money up to my house...well, I'm not made of stone.
On one hand, I think the book answers all the questions and wraps everything up, so there's no need for a sequel. But on the other hand, the world is a wide world, and there are many places in it to have adventures, and I could see books in which people might meet the Rosicrucians or seek the nagbu-thorn and never talk about lycanthropes at all.
Although I guess that's the world most books take place in?

Thank you for your response.
Give me your address and I'll dump it on your doorstep haha.
I do agree that the novel does wrap everything up however, li Thank you for your response.

I do agree that the novel does wrap everything up however, like you have mentioned in your reply, there are so many different groups like the Rosicrucians that are briefly mentioned in the book but not in full detail. You have obviously put great time and thought into the creation of these parties and I would consider it a shame if you were not to venture more into the world of Myron Horowitz as it is such a wonderful concept.Or even if you just followed Arthur Hong on his adventures (food for thought).
Well if you ever get bored and decide to write a sequel or any other story; you have a definite buyer here. ...more

Thanks, Adam! I have a new book just come out -- Fearsome Creatures of the Lumberwoods -- which is completely different in every way, but which glows in the dark and which I hope is a general crowd pleaser. I hope you get a chance to check it out.

I asked the Great Binturong and he suggested that the smells of various chips and snacks are a more product of your own conditioning than of the “very uncleanly flux” of the binturong. To the initiated, the binturong smells like Brachs’ candy corn. To Baron von Frito-Lay himself, the binturong smells like Smart Puffs and his nightmares.
