I have an overactive (or hyperactive) imagination so I get lots of ideas. I am most inspired to write when I deeply care about the book I'm writing. If the topic resonates with me in a deep way I can fly through the writing process without any moments of writers block.

I can't choose just one thing. For me, the best things about being a writer are:
- Making up characters and stories
- Readers contacting you to say they love the characters and stories you made up
- The sense of accomplishment you feel when you finish a book
- I find writing therapeutic
- I find that the more I write the more I discover about myself

To deal with writer's block I stop writing and read a book. After a while my creative juices start flowing again and I can write. If I'm blocked because I'm tired, I'll go to bed early. Sometimes I pray, and that sorts it :-)
