Donnee Patrese I usually stop what I am working on and find something else to do. My favorite would be taking a nap. I love naps. Whatever I do to step away from the project gives me fresh eyes and a new prospective on my work.

Donnee Patrese My advice for aspiring writers is to never give up. You may feel some days that you will never finish your first book or short story. You may even get rejection letters like I have. But never give up. Don't let those rejections get down. Rejections mean you are trying and that is a good thing.
Donnee Patrese I have been writing since I was in the 6th grade. I would write poetry and short stories. I was allowed to read my stories in front of the class. The teachers in my life have always encouraged my writing and I haven't stopped writing since middle school.
Donnee Patrese Well, I received the idea for my latest novel "Burned: Deadly Desires" from a story I heard. When I heard a story about women in the sex industry, I decided I wanted to show that they were human and they had stories.
