Hi, In The Face at the Window, Sumit's expression was clear as a mirror when he was seeing Dr Sanyal. What did Mrs McNally realise from Sumit's expression? I didn't understand what was meant by that. Was Dr Sanyal attracted to Sumit & vice versa? The entire paragraph was quite vague & made be wonder what Mrs McNally understood from the expression.

Kiran Manral Well, they were attracted to each other, and that made Mrs McNally understand her granddaughter's fascination for Dr Sanyal was quite doomed.

Kiran Manral Thanks Rubini, actually it is difficult to answer with one name. I adore P G Wodehouse, Murakami, Kazuo Ishiguro, J K Rowling, Kiran Nagarkar and so many more. And all with such disparate styles and genres.

Kiran Manral I don't really wait for inspiration, I just hunker down and write.

What are you currently working on?

Kiran Manral I'm working on the story of a dysfunctional marriage, it is quite different from what I've written before and I'm quite enjoying the shift in style.
