I watch a science fiction movie, read comics (my favorites are superman and xmen comics), and I also listen to my local christian radio station when I am trying to get inspired to write.
Another trick I use is to go to bed. Lay there in the dark and visualize myself inside the world I am trying to create. I put myself in the characters shoes and watch the world come alive. THAT trick gets a story moving EVERY time.
Typically I'll write whole books like that (not all in one night of course) before I ever even sit down to write it down! The BEST thing about this method... no backspacing! You can rewind and redo a scene any time!

Start a blog- while you are writing your main projects, find time to write up a few short stories or flash fiction pieces for your blog. Who knows- these pieces could inspire your next work! I prefer to illustrate the scenes that are blocking me. If that doesn't work then I go lay in the dark and try to visualize the scene instead.
