I'm not sure where this question comes from but I had an immediate response.

First, I would hope it was not fictional at all. There would have to be a grand adventure on the way in which we experience the end of predation among the people. Then we could devote ourselves to family an the arts.

Uh, I can't say it is a problem for me. But, if I'm not in the mood, I walk away and come back tomorrow.

Yikes! Seriously? I don't know. I just love doing it. But I guess the best part is the initial writing. Then comes the hard part of polishing and cleaning up what you've done.

Sitting down at the computer to begin can be daunting. Fortunately my wife does screenplays and she showed me Dara Marks' Transformational Arc (www.DaraMarks.com). While it's aimed at movies, it has a wonderful structural effect for novels. You will instantly recognize it the next time you go to the movies. Then what I do is a basic outline and try not to obsess too much. I let it flow out without being too critical. Revisions are the time to be critical. At least these things work for me.

Now that Gaia's Majesty: Discovery has been launched as the first book in the Gaia's Majesty Trilogy, I have turned my attention to the second book, Gaia's Majesty: Challenge. But something else is intruding and I'm making notes. I thought it was a trilogy but there appears to be a fourth book developing. And then there are the amazing women of the Andromeda in the first book. Each of them actually has a fascinating story so I will probably do a book of novellas on each.

My focus in life is strongly on human interaction and potential. I follow world events and, as a psychologist, pay attention to development at the social and worldwide level. The events are fascinating.

There is no simple answer. It developed over decades. I was fascinated by the work of Carl Jung. His work on myths was stunning and led me to conclude that myths often reflect human truths. Probably the final trigger was the recognition that we are having a worldwide movement empowering women. How could I not create a series featuring powerful women leading us through the denouement of human evolution as we face social and environmental crises which will determine our future as beings and of our planet.
