Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir, as several people have recommended it to me, and Alien Clay by Adrian Tchaikovsky, as I loved Children of Time and can't wait to devour another of his books.

The thing about fictional worlds is they're created by authors who are determined to create as much conflict for their characters as possible. This means they're full of evil wizards, sadistic rulers, or geographical features that will kill you by themselves (I'm thinking of The Fifth Season here).
That said, I'd probably go with the universe from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. At least I'd have a laugh while fighting for my life.
