Don Locke One of the best bits of advice I received when I began my writing journey was to continue reading and it is something I would echo strongly. Nothing fires the imagination more than living within someone else's for just a little while.

What are you currently working on?

Don Locke My first chapter and a half of a sequel to my first novel which I hope will turn neatly to a trilogy.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Don Locke Forge some time in which to write and protect it fiercely, even if that time amounts to nothing when it arrives. The habit is the point not the end product.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Don Locke Being able to work to a timescale your own rather than having to deal with entirely unsuitable deadlines imposed by self labelled leaders incapable of achieving their own demands of others.
