Hi Nora -- thank you so much for you lovely note. It tells me a lot about you that you are able to see the joy and wonder hidden between the words. The world needs more people like you in it. My favorite book so far is Orville Mouse. I love those guys -- Orville and Sophia and Proto. BTW, my grandson's name is Oliver, my granddaughter's name is Sophia. Ha! I am powerless against them! They both wanted to be characters in the books.
Best wishes to you,
Tom

Hi Sharon -- I'm glad you liked my Watson the Cat animation! I love that cat -- he's been my friend (and graphic design assistant) for 20 years. Here's the instructions on how to write a book review:
1) Navigate to the book's page.
2) Underneath the book's profile picture on the top left, rate the book using the stars.
3) The "want to read" button will automatically be replaced with a "write a review" link. Click that link.
4) Write your review in the review box that will appear and save.

The creative process. I have been a graphic designer/illustrator/ cartoonist for almost 35 years. The creative process is the same for art as it is for writing. Create something incredible from nothing. Where there was only thought, now there is something that can bring joy to others. It's the very definition of magic.

I have practiced meditation for many years. It's as though I have two channels. One is my own conscious thought process, where I use logic and think up ideas. The other channel is when I close my eyes and watch my thoughts flow past. I see images which come out of my unconscious mind. I essentially enter a waking dream. The unconscious mind never gets writer's block. Ask to see ideas and it sends them. So, final answer? I close my eyes, ask to see ideas and wait till I see something cool. The unconscious mind is an absolutely astonishing source of metaphors and symbolism. Pay attention to your dreams.
