Hi Vicki! I have really been enjoying listening to your Sherlock Holmes Bookshop series. Started me on a Holmes kick and am rewatching the Benedict Cumberbatch series, maybe Jeremy Brett will be next! I’m wondering if you have or could make a list of the books that Gemma recommends to her customers? If I was reading I could go back and jot them down but because I’m listening it’s not always possible. Thanks! Jane

I'm soooo sad! I really loved your two books on the Catskills Resort!!!!! It was fresh and didn't rely on the common tropes. Your publisher is not doing your readers any favors. Can I write to them directly?

I've been reading my way through your Lighthouse Library series. I'm up to Deadly Ever After. One thing I've noticed was in the beginning of the series, you described Charles, the Himalayan cat, as having blue eyes. Yet, in at least two subsequent books (including A Death Long Overdue), he is described as having amber eyes, but aren't all Himalayan cats blue-eyed, as you initially described him?

Vicki Delany You're right that he has blue eyes. What can I say but that sometimes mistakes happen.

I just finished the first book in the Catskill Summer Resort Mystery series and loved it! I'm about to purchase the second book. Will there be more in this series?

Vicki Delany Sadly no. There are only two. The contract was not renewed. On the bright side, that gave me time to write more in the Year Round Christmas series. The next one will be out Sept 19 and it's titled HAVE YOURSELF A DEADLY LITTLE CHRISTMAS. Vicki Delany Thanks very much for checking in. At this time the first five Year Round Christmas books will likely not be on audio. However! The series has moved to Crooked Lane for book six (coming fall 2023) and CL releases most of my books in audio, so they might. Let's hope. Will Gemma and Ryan finally walk down the aisle in any of your books? Can you write a mystery story on how Gemma and Ryan met each other?

Vicki Delany Hi, again. I saw you on FB and answered about the wedding. I don't know myself if that will ever happen. The idea of backstory is interesting, but at this time I don't know if it will fit the arc of my series. I might keep that in mind as a flashback in later books.

In Body on Baker Street, Ryan said Jayne was dressed like 'an adult movie interpretation of a second storey woman'. What does that phrase mean? Wondering what he meant? 😮

Vicki Delany A second story man (or woman in this case) is a burglar. It might be an English expression. Meaning someone who climbed the outside of a building to get in via the second story window. Thus dressed all in black. Thanks for asking!

Vicki Delany Thanks for asking, Lena. But I'm sorry to say the series is finished. I loved those books and those characters, but these days I'm concentrating on other things and simply don't have the time. I hope you'll look into what new books I'm writing.

Vicki Delany I'm delighted to say YES! I just made the contract announcement this week. Unfortunately, because of the delay in Penguin offering me a contract, the next book won't be out until Nov 2019. Seems so long away. In the meantime, do you know, I also write under the name of Eva Gates. Those books are the Lighthouse Library series. I really enjoyed reading the Sherlock Bookstore mystery. I appreciated that the female detective has such a strong personality and that the background story does not distract and take over the plot and mystery. I really like how your use these sub plots to build the characters without distracting the plot. Will you be writing more in the series?

Penguin was kind enough to give me the rights to the books so I could continue them. We are hoping for a release of spring 2018.
