Here's me asking myself a question: what do you hope to get out of writing?

Ila Perey Apart from catharsis, managing negative symptoms of mental illness (yes, I think there are some positive ones but that's a story for another day), developing a sense of identity and belonging or accelerating the process of being as some writers are wont to say? Trying to escape a middle-age induced existential crisis unscathed and as cheaply as possible. I hope I entertain people or bring them something useful while I am at it.
