Hello James - I recently discovered your books and I must say I find your writing style extremely interesting and entertaining. You are now firmly placed in my Top 5 of writers (along with MR James, Lovecraft, Du Maurier and Steinbeck.). I look forward to reading all of your works! My question is why do you include so many historical references in your books? Are you a history buff? I love this aspect of your work.
James Brogden Hi Doug - wow, that is quite a flattering list to be on. Thanks! Glad you're liking the stories. I think the historical details behind them are really important because we're all the products of our own personal pasts, and the same goes for places. I'm a very VERY amateur history buff and I probably make loads of mistakes but people have been too polite to tell me about them.

James Brogden Thanks - I'm glad you're enjoying it! I do absolutely intend to write The Aions just as soon as I finish a standalone supernatural/horror novel which I've promised to Titan books. In the meantime, if you like the world of Tourmaline there is a short story set in the same world, called 'The Gestalt Princess' in my short story collection 'Evocations'.
