Tolkien is the foundation for me — The Lord of the Rings showed me what world-building at its deepest could look like. Terry Goodkind’s Sword of Truth series was hugely influential, particularly the way he built a world with such strong moral stakes and unforgettable characters. Raymond E. Feist and Magician introduced me to the idea that a single book could open a doorway to an entire universe — the world of Midkemia felt endless and alive. Brandon Sanderson showed me that magic systems could be intricate and logical. If you love any of those authors and worlds, I think Neleuwen will feel like home to you.

The world zooms out — new characters enter, old dangers return in new forms, and the prophecy that began in Book 1 starts to reveal its true shape. I’d had the idea for this story for over ten years but life kept getting in the way. That diagnosis was the push I needed.
