Something happened in Brooklyn in the winter of 1974-75, a moment of precognition, an odd one, unexpectedly specific about when it would happen, two decades in the future, and more than a little alarming. I talked about the incident on and off for a few years, then forgot about. Until that moment arrived, 20 years later, and I realized I had been warned about it, and given a clear message about how to overcome the situation - a message that had no meaning for me until it was needed. That message probably saved my life. I've wanted to write about it, but it is tied up with a difficult period that I don't know if I have the stomach for writing about it. I need to resolve this!
