I always wondered who I would be now if I had gone to college after high school instead of marrying young. I can see it now. I am on the ocean in a state of the art oceanography ship. My job is to oversee the laboratory and run experiments on specimens brought up by the divers.

I would travel to Post-Thread Pern and try to bond with a dragon. I know that I possess a sensitivity to animals and would be a perfect candidate for a dragon. If not a dragon, then a fire-lizard or watch-wher.
