I started thinking back to when my depression started and how it has affected my life. I was in middle school. It had a huge impact on my journey into adulthood and honestly... I still don't have it figured out. Hence the title, This Woman is Still Girl. I wanted readers to know its ok to not have all the answers and its ok if you've made mistakes.

Well this answer is a little late but this summer I read: The Testaments by Margaret Atwood, Shame Is an Ocean I Swim Across by Mary Lambert, Soft Magic by Upile Chisala, Vox by Christina Dalcher, and Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng.
