I'm sure it's been said millions of times before, but: never give up, work on getting better, and don't let temporary defeat bring you down too much. Oh, and, if you can, surround yourself with people who believe in you, yet have the guts to be honest (even when it hurts). It took me seven years to get here, but the experiences along the way helped me grow, and I'd not want to miss that for the world.

I asked myself what I would do if a tragic event, and learning a dark, old secret, pulled the rug out from under me. When I found out about the 77 NYC blackout, I was fascinated, and decided to make that part of the story.
