Troy Ford Easy: Middle-Earth, the Shire specifically though Bree would probably be more comfortable so I wouldn't have to constantly duck my head every time I walk through a doorway.
Troy Ford I'm planning to read "My Family and Other Animals" by Gerald Durrell, his memoir of his childhood in Corfu - while we're in Corfu! I also visited Corfu when I was a kid, and we're staying at the same hotel as I did 47 years ago!
Also going to read Angela Carter's "The Bloody Chamber."
Troy Ford The death of my school friend in 2003 was the inspiration for my debut novel "Lamb" - the circumstances of his death follow pretty closely the actual events, from the announcement from our school in 2003 (he was only 33) with no further information, to my finally discovering the cause nearly 20 years. Although it draws inspiration from my own life and our school days, the main character Lamb himself is a complete fiction that grew out of the mystery of my not knowing, and not having any contact with my friend since high school.
