How do you deal with writer’s block?

Dora Okeyo Honestly speaking, I don't know how I deal with it. Whenever I am at a loss for words, I get a book to read and listen to music. I've found that anything Italian or Spanish gets me out of a funk.

Hello Dora, do you also read romance and erotica? What sort of books do you write?

Dora Okeyo I read romance and erotica. I just finished reading Haven by Rebekah Weatherspoon and loved every bit of it!
I write romance, but of late I seem to be leaning more towards literary fiction.

There is a lot of Swahili Culture and Customs in The Currents Series, what inspired you to go for a Swahili theme?

Dora Okeyo Bill! I hope you enjoyed reading the whole series.
I was inspired to go for a Swahili theme because I was intrigued by the Swahili culture, especially the names and how each child is believed to depict a certain personality as a result. I also love Swahili dishes.
