James Meadows When I first moved to Northern Kentucky, my wife and I made friends with a music teacher at a local high school. That teacher also sang in the Cincinnati May Festival Chorus. She gave us some free tickets to see her sing with them at Cincinnati Music Hall. They sang The Stabat Mater by Dvorak. The music was so beautiful, so mournful. It surrounded me and I immediately drifted away and started daydreaming about a young college student being haunted while he worked late at a dusty old coffee shop and book store.
James Meadows I get inspired to write a lot by listening to music or sitting around and daydreaming. To me, writing is a lot like playing. I'm just using words instead of GI Joes, cars, and squirt guns.
James Meadows Great question! So far, my summer reading list includes, Dawnshard, Rhythm of War, Wind and Truth, The Dragon Republic, The Burning God, and They Called Us Enemy.
