Donna Fletcher Crow The best thing about being a writer is also one of the worst things--having so many things to do at one time. I am currently working on launching my new release A Lethal Spectre, Lord Danvers Investigates #5; I am re-ediging and re-publishing my Elizabeth and Richard Literary Suspense series; and I am planning the research for my next Elizabeth and Richard which will be Jane Austen at the seashore. The good news is that I never get bored!
Donna Fletcher Crow Stories inspire me. Especially stories from English history. I love to tell about men and women of past times whose actions impact the way we live and think today. Almost all of my books have started with an event in history that I wanted to learn more about and then share with my readers.
Donna Fletcher Crow Years ago I saw a TV program on Victorian England that told about the Cawnpore Massacre. I was gripped by the unspeakable horror in contrast to the Victorian ideal of proper behavior and protecting women and children. I knew I wanted to tell that story. I finally had my chance in A Lethal Spectre, Lord Danvers Investigates #5, which released last week. I was able to incorporate on-site research from a trip to the London docklands and to Brighton.
